The composition "1.X.1905", commonly referred to as the "Sonata", was written in autumn 1905 at the height of the unrest between the Czech and German speaking population in Janacek's hometown of Brno. In response to the violent death of a Czech worker, Janacek wrote a three-part composition for piano with the original title "From the Road, October 1, 1905". Dissatisfied with the work, but Janacek is still burned before the first performance, the third sentence in the fireplace and then thrown the remaining two sentences in the Moldova. Even a copy of these first two sentences, after which the first edition was published later, has disappeared today. Therefore, the Urtext edition of publishers G. Henle and Universal Edition is based exclusively on the 1924 first edition,
